Nintendo Labo First Week Sales Sluggish in Japan, U.K.

It appears “Nintendo Labo” is struggling to find an audience. It sold through only 30% of its initial shipment in Japan its first week, according to sales tracker Media Create (translated by Siliconera).

The educational cardboard construction kits are peripherals for the Nintendo Switch. The Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit costs $69.99 and comes with a physical version of the “Labo” software and five projects: two RC cars, a fishing rod, a house, a motorbike, and a piano. The Toy-Con 02: Robot Kit is $79.99 and comes with the software plus a buildable, wearable mech suit.

“Labo” launched on April 20 worldwide and sold about 119,000 units in Japan its opening week, Media Create said. The Variety Kit sold over 90,000 units, while the Robot Kit sold nearly 29,000 units. The launch apparently didn’t help Nintendo sell Switches, either. Media Create said the console’s sales saw a slight drop from the previous week.

Fortnite Switch Rumored To Be Showcased at E3

It’s just a matter before Fortnite Switch becomes a reality. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t considering how popular both are, Fortnite and the Nintendo Switch, as well as the game running on Unreal Engine 4 which is fully supported by the hybrid console. Today a new rumor about Fortnite Switch hit the Web via a group of leakers posting on the Twitter account  @LeakyPandy . They’ve managed to correctly leak several tidbits of information ahead of March’s Nintendo Direct presentation, thus earning some credibility.

Mario Tennis Aces for Switch: Various Character Types

Mario, Luigi, and Daisy are all-rounded characters, and are recommended for beginners to start with, although this doesn’t mean that they are weak characters. They have decently powerful shots, and move across the tennis court at an average speed. There are also differences between the all-around characters. For example, Luigi has slightly weaker shots than Mario, but stronger volleys near the net.  Technical characters have less power in general behind their shots, but boast excellent ball control, such as being able to hit wider angles. Their Zone Shots and Special Shots are also slower, so the idea is to go tricky with their standard shots. Speedy characters move quickly across the court, and especially so when using  Zone Speed. They are handy when fighting against characters that players aren’t used to facing, and characters who can send their shots in any direction. However, they are lighter in weight, and tend to be more affected by knockbacks from Nic...

Pokémon Switch rumors leave fans guessing about the next game

A LOGO The biggest clue, according to fans, Twitter and forum users, comes from 4chan. A thread on the image board’s Pokémon section suggests that  Pokémon Let’s Go! Pikachu Edition  and  Pokémon Let’s Go! Eevee Edition  are two Switch games coming this fall, the first pair from the Pokémon franchise to hit the console. Attached is art of a potential logo for these titles, which users see as lending further credence to the alleged leak. GAMEPLAY CLUES — AND A VIDEO COMPILATION So there’s reason to have doubt about the logo’s veracity. But an earlier thread from 4chan contains details that do sound more plausible. All the way back on March 31, a separate thread claimed to offer the first details of the upcoming Pokémon Switch game. This anonymous user wrote that  Let’s Go!  would be “[ Pokémon Yellow ] remakes for Switch” sold in both Pikachu and Eevee versions; the games would star Red and Blue, the original trainer and rival from ...
